The higher the temperature of STA silicon carbide heatingE elements - the shorter the life due to oxidization. Oxidation accelerates when the furnace chamber temperature exceeds 1400°C (for Types ED, DB & U, W) or 1600°C (for Types SG & SGR). Therefore it is recommended to keep the surface temperature of silicon carbide heating elements as low as possible and minimize the difference in temperature between the furnace chamber and silicon carbide heating elements.
