PRODUCT BRIEF

MoSi2 heating elements are made of molybdenum disilicide, resistance of high temperature, anti-oxidation.

For applications where the furnace roof is particularly low, the use of horizontally mounted elements can be used. In such cases, four-shank elements might be used where the surface temperature of the element will not exceed 1800 deg C. Available in W type in 3/6, 4/9, 6/12, 9/18 and 12/24 sizes. The multi-shank elements have advantages over two-shank elements in that the hot zones are longer, therefore fewer elements can be used and the cold end losses are reduced.

MoSi2 heating elements are made of molybdenum disilicide, resistance of high temperature, anti-oxidation. When used under high temperature oxidizing atmosphere, the surface produces a layer of bright and dense quartz (SiO2) glass film, which can protect the silicon molybdenum rod inner layer from oxidation and the silicon molybdenum rod element has unique high temperature oxidation resistance.


STA molybdenum disilicide MoSi2 heating elements are for element temperatures up to 1850°C.  MoSi2 heating elements are available as straight or bent elements in a wide range of shapes and sizes, all characterized by long life and consistent performance.
